Do not misjudge Anne-Sofie, when you meet her in the workshop at Blaaholm. She is 22 years old with long blond hair in a ponytail and works as a trainee in the workshop. She grabs hold of the tools with a steady hand, and it looks like she has been doing it for a long time!
Anne-Sofie has previously worked at Billund Airport, at home care jobs and has been studying clerical education. But she did not seem to have found her calling, so she dropped out the clerical education.
In February 2017 Anne-Sofie started the chief engineer study, and now she feels she has found her true calling in a technical environment. Because she has a high school background, she must finish a 9-month internship in a workshop, and this is where Blaaholm enters the picture.
In October she put on her working clothes and safety shoes, and the blacksmiths could welcome Anne-Sofie in the workshop at Blaaholm.
Mikael Schade, production manager at Blaaholm is very pleased to have Anne-Sofie as an intern in the workshop and he says:” She picks up the challenges. She has already been working with mounting, service and welding tasks. She shows she really wants this and she is dedicated to her education.”
In the summer she will be moving to Fredericia to live closer to her family, and she will finish her chief engineer education there.” My dream is to become a manager – management combined with technical issues – that is what I am dedicated to” Anne-Sofie concludes.
